Peeling garlic can be a time-consuming task, but fear not - I've tried (almost) every method out there and narrowed it down to the top 5 easiest ways to make this task a breeze!

Cut (Method 1)

Go in with your knife from the curved side, and cut the clove in half.

Step 1:

Pinch the loose peel and pull to remove.

Crush (Method 2)

Place the flat side of a chef's knife over a clove of garlic and press down.

Peel the crushed clove.

Shake (Method 3)

Put the separated garlic cloves in a jar and shake vigorously.

Most peels will come off in the jar. Separate the peeled cloves and repeat for the few remaining ones.

Spread out separated garlic cloves on a plate and microwave for 10 seconds.

Take the cloves out and let them cool for a few seconds. Peel with hands.

Take a good garlic press and press an unpeeled garlic clove with it.
