This is a sneak peek into a detailed guide about cutting purple cabbage. I've shared the basic method here but you'll find more ways on the main post (click below).
Before you start cutting a purple cabbage, remove any damaged or wilted outer leaves, give it a good wash and pat it dry.
Begin by placing the cabbage on a cutting board with the root-end facing down. Then cut it through the center into two halves.
Next place each half flat-side down and cut in half lengthwise once more and you'll get four quarters.
Then slice out the core diagonally from all 4 pieces.
Hold the piece with a claw grip to keep it steady. Then begin slicing from the pointy end and move towards the end where the core was. Slice as thin or thick as you like.
Cutting cabbage is easy with knife but you can also use mandoline, grater or food processor. Plus you can cut cabbage into squares, wedges or steaks. Click below to learn more!
