Revive a hard baguette

Revive your stale baguette and other crusty breads with this simple method.  You don't need to buy a fresh loaf every time you want to enjoy a sandwich or a warm buttered slice.

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Then briefly run your baguette under cold tap water to wet the crust.

Bake the baguette on the middle oven rack for 8 to 12 minutes. Then carefully remove it from the oven.

Check the baguette by cutting a small piece to see if it's warm and soft inside with a crispy crust. If not, bake for another minute or two.

Let the baguette cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
