Spicy Honey Glazed Carrots

These carrots cook much more quickly than roasted carrots. And the spicy honey coating on them lends a ton of flavor and the perfect amount of heat.

If you don't like spicy food, you can always tweak the quantity of spicy ingredients to suit your preference.

Step 1

First make the spicy honey glaze by adding garlic to the oil and then the rest of the glaze ingredients. Cook for a minute then set aside.

Next – in a pan or skillet, combine carrots, water , bouillon and pepper. Bring to a boil then cover with lid. Turn down the heat to med-low and let it cook for 10-12 minutes.

Now add the prepared glaze. Mix well to coat the carrots evenly.

Let the sauce reduce and thicken for a few minutes. Then garnish with chopped fresh herbs and serve. It's that simple!

Tips

– Slice carrots into 1/4 inch thick rounds. – Add more honey if you prefer sweeter carrots. – You can cut carrots in other shapes for this recipe and can also use baby carrots.
